20's Plenty for Lambeth

Lambeth has one of the highest rates of road casualties in London, with the second highest casualty rate in London for both pedestrians and cyclists.

The campaign in Lambeth was started by the Green Party. In 2010, local member George Graham and others brought the ‘20s plenty’ campaign to Lambeth and organised a public meeting in Herne Hill. Widespread support – even from motorists who recognise that a 20 limit helps traffic flow - was gained.

20's Plenty now involves wide range of community groups and local people who have come together to push for change.
